Mute evasion
Talking on another account while you're muted.
- Alt Muted + Your Mute Restarts
These rules keep PolarMC fair and fun. Network rules apply everywhere, and each realm has its own rules on top. Punishments listed are baselines: staff can adjust them up or down based on context and history, and we punish intent, not loopholes. Not sure about something? Open a ticket in the Discord.
Talking on another account while you're muted.
Pretending to be staff in chat, item names or anywhere else.
Spamming commands that send four or more messages to other players, like /pay or /msg spam.
Tricking someone into running a command that hurts them, like /f disband or /f leave.
Usernames, skins, capes, renamed items, pet names or builds that show slurs, nudity or hateful imagery. You'll be asked to change it first.
Posting another server's IP, Discord or website. Creators can share their own PolarMC videos and streams.
Links to NSFW content, screamers, malware or anything malicious.
Using a group of bot accounts to flood chat.
Play to compete fairly. Anything that goes against the spirit of the game is reviewed by management.
Any threat to DDoS, dox or swat a player or the server, even as a joke. Management may reduce a clear joke to a 14 day ban.
Sharing someone's IP address, real name, address or login details.
Any grooming or stalking of another player. This is also reported to the authorities.
Not following through on a trade you agreed to, or tricking someone out of items or money. Scammed items aren't refunded.
Teleporting someone to you so you can kill them or trap them.
Trading server items, money or services for PayPal, Cash App, gift cards or anything outside PolarMC.
Scamming someone in a trade that involves store items or a store purchase.
Opening a payment dispute or chargeback on a store purchase.
Sending the same or similar message three or more times in a short time, or flooding chat with lots of messages.
Long strings of repeated letters or symbols, or needless all-caps messages.
Asking or paying other players to spam or break rules.
Repeatedly targeting, insulting or harassing players or staff.
Constant swearing, or getting around the chat filter.
Racist or derogatory terms, or attacking someone for their race, religion, sexuality or gender.
Death threats, or telling someone to hurt or kill themselves.
Use English in global chat so staff can moderate it. Any language is fine in private messages and party chat.
Begging players or staff for ranks, items, in-game money or real money.
Publicly arguing with staff decisions or doing their job for them. Open a ticket in the Discord instead.
Follow Discord's Terms of Service and Community Guidelines, including the minimum age of 13.
Spamming, mass-pinging staff, or using channels for the wrong thing, like bot commands in #general.
Starting drama, targeting people, or bringing outside fights into the server.
Sending members unwanted DMs advertising other servers or services.
Mic spam, loud or obnoxious sounds, unapproved soundboards, or screaming in voice channels.
Posting sexual content, gore or very inappropriate memes or links.
Strike offenses are handled only by the Strike Team and Management. Punishments here are baselines: admins can adjust them up or down based on context, and we punish intent, not loopholes. Wealth deductions are applied at the end of the season.
Any ban of 24 hours or longer counts as a faction ban. 4 faction bans add up to 1 strike, and a blacklist is 3 strikes automatically.
Strikes add up over the season. Wealth is removed at the end of the season, not when the strike is earned.
No warning for any of these: exploiting bugs or glitches, exploiting Tebex or store bugs, serious permission abuse by staff, using raid detectors, or giving or merging value between factions.
If your base has a real design flaw, like a hole you forgot to seal, a misconfigured core or a badly set region, that's on you. It won't be rolled back.
If you break a rule specifically to stop a raid from succeeding, the base's full value goes to the raiding faction. Management makes the final call.
Any ScreenShare-certified staff member can freeze and screen-share you without giving a reason. Every SS is recorded, which protects you too. If you think a staff member crossed a line during your SS, point to that recording in your report.
49 chunks total for your main base. If your base isn't in a corner, the 49 chunks are measured from its center, so an even-sized base may lose a chunk to fit. The buffer can hold up to 10 chunks of walls, with one counter per side. No oceans on a buffer counter, and no unbreakable blocks, regenerating walls, slime walls, fences, gates or anti-nukes of any kind, including on the buffer itself.
Bases need 100 chunks between the edge of your buffer and your nearest neighbor's. Your own faction can't run two bases next to each other, and you're limited to one base per map quadrant, farm claims included (your cane farm can't share a quadrant with your main base).
Your base must be reachable by ender pearl, so no large air gaps that make it unraidable. Every spawner has to stay creeper-eggable, and no slabs anywhere in your buffer.
One chunk of open water (ocean) is allowed anywhere in your buffer. Any defense is fine inside that chunk except unbreakable blocks or regenerating walls.
Buffer counters can't be used while your faction is shielded or in grace.
One buffer counter box per side, empty boxes included. If you're off shield, or your shield ends in under two hours, you can't move a counter. 360-degree counters aren't allowed.
Whoever claims a corner chunk first owns it.
No exceptions.
Using timers, speed hacks or fly to beat someone to a corner.
Claiming land right next to another faction's base with no real purpose isn't allowed. After grace, claiming near a base is fine for raiding or wall-scaling. Anything else gets unclaimed.
You're capped at 9 chunks of trap claims per world.
You can only fire on an enemy cannon from one side at a time, left or right. Switching to the other side means waiting 10 minutes, and you can't try a second side until the current raid timer ends. Front and back countering are never allowed.
No printer, genbucket or stacker-wand patching while you're being shot at, sand bots included. Wait for the raid timer to end.
No gen-patching while you're being shot at or while a raid timer is running against you.
You can't defend your buffer or cannon box by patching from wilderness.
Raids and counters are strictly between two factions. Anyone else PvPing, scouting buffers or interfering is punished. If a raiding cannon is set up, only the defending faction can counter it. Claiming raid timer is an open race: you can't block someone from getting it, patch shots meant for a base that isn't yours, or wall off access to stop someone claiming timer. If you post up behind someone else's raid cannon, don't touch their setup until your faction has timer.
Raid claims max out at 9x9, plus 8 extra chunks for a left/right float. The raiding cannon has to line up with the base it's targeting so the defending faction's counter can reach it.
Maximum of 3 raid claims per side of a base, and every claim has to be actively helping the siege (siding a counter, for example), not just sitting there.
16 walls max per side of a cannon box, not counting the shell. No anti-nuke or finnister-style walls. Anything that needs an extra shot to breach (like trap walls) counts toward the limit. Also banned on cannon boxes: water-sourced blocks between defenses, redstone defenses, regenerating walls, and any block sand can't stack on (banners, heads, cacti, enchanting tables). Adjustable boxes only count as a wall if they cover more than half the side. Wall spacing can't go over 1 block.
You can switch sides (buffer to side counter, or side to side), but wait 10 minutes either way.
Wait for the current raid timer to end before switching cannons. Repairing and continuing with the same cannon is fine.
Sand-wanding a live TNT shot to neutralize it isn't allowed.
No shooting a cannon box from behind, left/right shooting it, adjusting from behind it, floating at it from wilderness, or midairing it.
Back-countering a cannon box, side counters included, isn't allowed.
Same ender pearl rule as bases, so no large gaps. In-line gaps in cannon box walls can't go over 1 block. Corner traps that sit off-line are fine.
Setting up a cannon just to trigger a raid timer (firing once or twice and leaving) isn't allowed. That includes shooting your own base with an alt faction for a free shield.
Buffer counters are for countering incoming raids only, not for shooting someone's base, counter or side counters. You can't fire your buffer counter while shielded.
Neither is allowed on a buffer counter.
Up to 10 slabs are allowed on a side counter or cannon box.
Not allowed under any circumstances.
7x7 claim max on a side counter cannon, with up to 6 defensive walls. Slabs are allowed.
Once the season starts, every faction gets at most 2 raid attempts in any rolling 24 hours, enforced automatically. Starting a raid timer uses an attempt.
Looting a base mid-raid without being part of the raid. Anything a leecher takes is confiscated and given to the raiding faction. Staff need to see it live or have a recording.
You can hide unplaced spawners, but mining or burning value once a raid has started isn't allowed. Spawners can be split across multiple obsidian boxes (10x10 or bigger) as long as every box is inside your core base chunks.
A raid is legit as long as TNT breaches the shell and every other rule is followed: no alts, no insiding, no glitching, no bug abuse.
Every cannon has to follow these rules. Breaking them is admin discretion for the faction and a map ban for the builder. If a raid breaches with an illegal cannon, or a defense breaches an illegal raiding setup, it gets rolled back. Contraptions built to lag the server are an automatic blacklist for the builder and 4 faction strikes.
Anything built to lag the server, or any attempt to route around this rule.
Raiding and countering cannons follow the 5 second rule: at least one wall broken per 3 second window. You can rig a lever for automatic firing (a redstone clock you can toggle mid-raid, at any Y level).
The 5 second rule doesn't apply to cannons stacking under 10 sand that stay below Y10, down to a 0.1 second minimum. The same floor applies if a raider one-stacks a faction and then reverses. Above Y15 on reverse layers, the 5 second rule is back. Switching from a 10-stacker to a reverse cannon needs a 10 second gap, and switching from a sub-Y10 cannon to one shooting above Y10 needs 5 minutes.
Left and right shooting are fine. Midairing isn't. Left/right shooting cannon boxes or side boxes is also banned.
Any cannon that can adjust more than once (Ufusion-style setups, for example) is banned.
No barrel outside the cannon box. If your box gets breached, the whole cannon has to be reachable from inside it.
No shooting sand or TNT at or above Y319.
Wall-removers, T-nukers and anything like them are banned.
Banned, no exceptions.
One button press or clock pulse can only breach one wall (or one reverse layer), never more.
Anything that pushes or opens more than a 5-wide hole in a watered wall is banned, whatever it's called. This applies to the first shot and any follow-up.
Horizontal sand-stacking cannons are allowed, but only below Y10.
You can overstack up to 6 blocks past your first sand height. Shooting through reverse layers from below removes that cap. Overstackers can be countered too.
5,000 TNT max per cannon.
Floats can't be used from wilderness or another faction's claim to shoot at anything: bases, counters, side boxes, all of it. Your cannon has to be on your own claim.
Not allowed.
Not allowed in any form.
Not allowed.
Bunkers runs its own ruleset: no cannon speed limits, no tech restrictions, cannon freely. The lag machine rule still applies if a cannon hurts server performance. You can't claim in the Bunkers world.
Any client modification that gives you an unfair edge. Admitting it drops the ban to 2 days, and it still counts as a faction ban. Repeat offenses after your first mean you're banned for the rest of the season.
If you're frozen, you have 3 minutes to join the SS waiting room in the Discord and follow instructions.
No alliances with other factions or factionless players. That includes several factions ganging up on one, coordinating during events, or grinding side by side in a PvP zone with someone outside your faction.
Alts, alt factions or wilderness accounts can't be used to get around any rule or gain an advantage. Alts are fine for AFKing spawners and farms, and can join your faction with /f alt.
Left and right click autoclickers are banned. The anti-cheat flags anything faster than a 10ms debounce automatically. Bans after your first offense run for the rest of the season.
Printer, Easy Place, or any mod that places dispensers without crouching or works the same way. Enforced server-side where possible.
No scripts to automate grinding. The F11 trick is fine for cane, but you can't AFK it: 2 minutes of inactivity is the limit, and running F11 on multiple accounts at once is banned. Abusing cane's fast-growth mechanic isn't allowed either.
Cobble gens are fine as long as they're not inside someone else's trap claim (wilderness is always fair game). Deliberately obstructing the server with gen buckets, blocks or liquid, like walling off spawn so people can't leave the warzone, is not.
Deliberately trapping someone with a gen bucket, patch bucket, lever or sand bot.
Freezing your own client to dodge combat or interaction.
Breaking a block to hit someone through the gap (doors, gates, anything), or stacking blocks to reach a height you shouldn't be able to reach.
FlyBoost is fine up to double your normal flight speed. Getting caught above 5x skips straight to the 2nd offense.
Using a bug to hurt players or profit instead of reporting it, including using an exploit to get into someone's base, or duping items, value or currency.
Farming or generating value while factionless (or in another faction) and sending it to a real faction.
Sabotaging your own faction: stealing faction value, gear, tools, currency or spawners (a spawner placed on faction land belongs to the faction), mining unauthorized holes, leaking your coords, unclaiming warzone traps, getting your faction raided on purpose, or letting outsiders into your base or cannon. Handled when your faction leader reports it. If your faction knowingly benefits from an inside job, it repays the victim in full.
Merging just to inflate F-Top is banned, so no moving wealth, gear, items or players between groups outside a legit merge. Merging is fine before grace ends. After grace, a merge needs staff sign-off and one faction has to give up all its value. Getting raided on purpose and then joining the raiders still counts. Agreeing to merge so you can raid someone afterward is insiding.
After leaving a faction you can join a new one, but rejoining your old faction isn't allowed. Playing in two factions on two accounts is banned. Stick to one account for the whole season.
Spawners have to stay creeper-eggable and TNT-reachable. Boxing them in, hiding them out of reach (world border included) or covering all four sides breaks this rule. Raiders finding blocked spawners after a breach is taken into account too.
Playing on another account while banned. If a blacklisted player evades, the new account is blacklisted too.
These replace the network chat rules on Factions Lava where they overlap.
Pulling players to another server, Discord or website, in public chat, DMs, faction chat or your faction description. That includes promoting hacked clients. Talking about other servers in general is fine, and so is recruiting for your own faction's Discord.
Repeating the same or similar message more than 5 times in a short time. Spam that isn't typed into chat (command spam, for example) gets a ban instead of a mute at the same step.
Attacks based on someone's sexuality or race.
Telling another player to harm themselves.
Zero tolerance, including threats, jokes with real malicious intent, or posting anyone's real info beyond a first name (your own included). If someone threatens you privately, don't engage: screenshot it and open a ticket within 48 hours so a Sr. Mod or above can step in. DDoS evidence goes straight to a Sr. Admin or higher. We can only act on things that happen in our Discord or server, except direct threats against a PolarMC player.
Draft. HCF Frostbite isn't out yet, so these will change before it launches.
Factions can't team up past the faction size limit. Fighting with another faction to get an advantage, or splitting a faction to get around the limit, is teaming. Both factions are punished.
Glitching through walls, abusing pearl or class bugs, or any trick to escape combat or get into claims. Report it in a ticket instead.
Playing on an alt or another account while your main is deathbanned.
Auto-clickers, macros or click assist in any fight.
No rules match that search.
